AUTOMOTIVE B2B+B2C PRESTASHOP

Autotronic

10k+ parts: B2B and B2C in one store

A PrestaShop store with a catalog of more than 10,000 technical SKUs, individual wholesale price lists and API integrations with distributors. Autotronic Service Poland sp. z o.o., based in Rumia, runs the starterhurt.pl store. It sells starters, alternators and their components, such as brushes, windings and repair kits. The range also includes parts for agricultural machinery and industrial engines. Its customers include both repair shops and drivers.

× Before
  • A large technical catalog. More than 10,000 SKUs are parts that differ in small details. Customers need to quickly find the component that fits a specific application.
  • Two channels, two logics. A repair shop buys differently from a driver. It needs wholesale prices, repeat orders and fast service.
  • Individual price lists. Wholesale customers have their own trade terms. The store must show each of them their price without manual work from the sales team.
  • Data from distributors. Part of the range depends on external partners. At this catalog scale, retyping their data by hand is out of the question.
  • Several markets and currencies. The store serves customers in Poland and abroad. It has to work in several languages and convert prices into different currencies.
  • Customers without catalog knowledge. Drivers often don't know the part number. They only know what stopped working, and they look for the answer in the store.
→ Our approach
  • One store instead of two. We combined B2B and B2C in a single installation. The catalog, stock and content are shared, while trade terms differ after login.
  • PrestaShop as the foundation. PrestaShop handles large catalogs, variants and multiple languages well. It also has advanced customer group and pricing mechanisms.
  • Price lists assigned to customers. Wholesale customers see their own prices after logging in. The sales team sets the terms once, and the store applies them to every order.
  • API integrations with distributors. Product data flows in automatically from partner sources. The catalog stays up to date without manual entry.
  • Navigation by application. An application catalog and more than 200 subcategories lead to the right part. That is essential for a technical range.
  • How-to content. The blog helps drivers and repair shops with selection and repairs. It also drives search traffic for technical queries.
  • Multilingual from the start. We planned language versions and currencies into the store structure, not as an add-on. As a result, new products reach all markets right away.
  • A catalog of more than 10,000 SKUs. Starters, alternators and spare parts are organized into more than 200 subcategories. This structure lets customers browse from general to specific without scrolling through thousands of items.

What we built it with.

PrestaShop
Store engine, catalog, customer groups and B2B price lists, language versions and currencies. It performs well with a large range and multi-market sales.
API integrations
Automatic exchange of product data with distributors, keeping the catalog up to date.

Sales model analysis

We mapped out the differences between the repair shop and driver journeys. We determined which elements are shared and which depend on the customer type.

Catalog structure

We designed the category tree and the application catalog for more than 10,000 SKUs. Customers reach the part starting from what they are repairing. They don't need to know the catalog number.

B2B mechanics

We implemented individual wholesale price lists assigned to customer accounts. Prices change after login, with no separate store.

Integrations

We connected the store with distributors via API. Product data updates automatically, without manual imports by the team.

Languages, currencies and content

We launched the PL, EN and CZ versions, support for several currencies and a how-to blog.

What changed.

Repair shops and drivers buy in the same store, each on their own terms.
B2B and B2C in one channel
The technical range is accessible through categories and the application catalog.
More than 10,000 SKUs in an organized catalog
Distributor data reaches the store automatically, with no manual retyping.
Wholesale integrations via API
Three language versions and four currencies open the store to customers outside Poland.
International sales
Wholesale price lists work automatically, so the sales team doesn't prepare a separate quote for every inquiry.
Less manual sales work

Thousands of SKUs and two types of customers?

We'll build a store where repair shops and drivers find their prices and the right part. If you sell parts or other technical products, customers aren't looking for a name, they're looking for a fit. An application catalog and a good category structure then matter more than an eye-catching homepage. A single store for B2B and B2C lowers maintenance costs, as long as prices and terms depend on the logged-in account. API integrations with suppliers become a necessity for any catalog counted in thousands of items.
