SERVICE · STORE AUDIT

Store audit as the first step before every major decision.

A technical and SEO audit of a mid-market store is typically two weeks of work by a team of four specialists (architect, SEO specialist, security, performance). The output is a decision document for the board, not a decorative report for the marketing department. Three scope levels depending on business scale.

What exactly we audit in your store.

A technical and SEO audit isn't a checklist of "does a sitemap exist". It's a multi-dimensional analysis of the current state with concrete business recommendations prioritized by ROI.

Technical dimension

Technology stack — platform versions, modules, language, dependencies. Identification of outdated components with specific security risk.

Code architecture — code quality, test coverage, and technical debt expressed in the hours of work needed to pay it down.

Infrastructure — hosting, CDN, monitoring, backups, disaster recovery — whether they exist and whether they actually work.

Security — OWASP Top 10, known CVE vulnerabilities, GDPR compliance, PCI-DSS where relevant.

Performance — TTFB, LCP, CLS, INP benchmarked against your industry and competitors. Specific improvement opportunities with a forecast of their impact on conversion.

Business dimension

SEO baseline — organic traffic, top 100 keywords, position vs competition, technical SEO issues blocking indexing.

Conversion — purchase funnel, drop-off points, conversion rate across demographic segments and traffic sources.

UX — heatmaps, session recordings, and identification of friction points in the purchase process and checkout.

Analytics — whether you're tracking the right metrics, and whether business decisions are based on good data.

Competitors — benchmarking against your top 5 industry competitors on SEO, performance, and UX.

Three audit levels for different store scales.

Every audit ends with a document containing specific recommendations prioritized by business ROI, plus a concrete quote for implementation work. Full transparency — if it turns out your current store needs no intervention, you'll get that in writing.

Ask About Enterprise

Audit questions we hear most often.

Is the audit independent from the fact that you later propose implementation work?

+
Yes. The audit is a separate, fixed-price service. The result is a report with concrete recommendations and an implementation quote. You're free to take the report and implement the recommendations with any agency you choose — many clients do exactly that, whether because the quote doesn't fit their budget or they simply prefer another vendor. The audit stands on its own even when it turns out your store is in better shape than you expected.

How long does a store audit take?

+
The Minimal audit takes 5 business days (typically one calendar week). The Standard audit takes 10 business days (two weeks). The Enterprise audit takes 20-30 business days (4-6 weeks). Once the audit is complete, you receive the report plus a debrief with your leadership team — 30 minutes for Minimal, 90 minutes for Standard, a 2-day offsite for Enterprise.

Do we always need an audit before a migration?

+
Yes — in 100% of migration projects we start with a technical audit and an SEO baseline. Migrating without an audit is gambling: we wouldn't know the structure of your current store, the SEO risks, or your team's capabilities. The audit is included in the migration price as its first stage (typically 1-2 weeks out of a 14-22 week project). We don't quote migrations without an audit — that's simply not a product we offer.

Do you only audit stores on specific platforms?

+
We audit any e-commerce platform — Sylius, PrestaShop, Shopify Plus, WooCommerce, Magento (Adobe Commerce), BigCommerce, and custom builds. We specialize in mid-market stores (PLN 5-50M in revenue), so we don't take on audits for small stores under PLN 1M — for them the audit cost is disproportionate to the scale of the business, and the resulting recommendations would be too expensive relative to the company's size.

What do we actually receive as the result of the audit?

+
A PDF report — typically 40-80 pages for Standard (up to 150 for Enterprise) — plus an Excel sheet with recommendations prioritized by ROI, plus a quote for implementing the top recommendations. Plus a live debrief with your leadership team. Plus 12 months of access to the Gorilla Panel, where the report is archived for easy future reference.

Start with the right audit package for your scale.

60 minutes with a Gorilla Commerce architect, where we discuss your current store, identify the highest-priority areas for the audit, and choose the right package for you. After the call, you receive a concrete audit proposal with scope, timeline, and a fixed-price quote.
