When PrestaShop is the right call.

PrestaShop is strongest in Polish mid-market e-commerce with €250k–2.5M annual revenue. Excellent support for Polish-specific requirements (receipts, VAT invoices, integrations with Polish payment systems).

When PrestaShop wins

Polish B2C with €250k–2.5M revenue with a catalog up to 5k SKUs — the platform's sweet spot.

A modest implementation budget (40-100k PLN) — the best feature-to-price ratio on the market.

Polish legal requirements and integrations (Allegro, receipts, JPK export) — PrestaShop has the strongest Polish module ecosystem of any platform.

An in-house dev team with PHP skills — PrestaShop is open-source, so you can extend it yourselves.

When NOT PrestaShop

Store above €2.5M revenue — PrestaShop starts having performance issues, Sylius or Shopify Plus are better.

Plans for global expansion — PrestaShop lacks the ready-made multi-market, multi-currency, and multi-language support that Shopify Plus offers.

Headless architecture — PrestaShop isn't natively headless, and while workarounds exist, Sylius or Shopify Plus are the better fit.

Complex B2B logic with individual pricing and trade credit lines — PrestaShop handles this less well than Sylius.

Five competencies, proven on real projects.

PrestaShop is our second-strongest specialization after Sylius. 20+ PrestaShop stores in our portfolio, including Autotronic as our flagship B2B+B2C with a complex automotive catalog.

01

PrestaShop B2B automotive

Flagship · Autotronic

A B2B+B2C store in the automotive sector with a complex technical catalog of 10k+ SKUs, individual wholesale pricing, and API integrations with distributors. The most complex PrestaShop build in our portfolio.

02

Custom PrestaShop development

Production · 12+ projects

Custom modules, themes, integrations. We know how to avoid breaking PrestaShop with the kind of over-customization that causes trouble elsewhere. Our custom modules stay compatible with platform updates.

03

Polish ecosystem integrations

Production · 20+ deployments

tpay, PayU, paynow, Furgonetka, InPost, Allegro Sync, JPK export, integrations with Polish ERP systems. We have ready-made integration packages for the most common Polish requirements.

04

Performance optimization

Production · 10+ optimizations

PrestaShop optimization for catalogs of 5k+ SKUs. Cache warming, CDN, image optimization, lazy loading. We bring Core Web Vitals up to 70+ even on large stores.

05

Migrations from PrestaShop

Production · 5+ migrations

We also specialize in migrating stores off PrestaShop onto more scalable platforms (Sylius, Shopify Plus) once a store outgrows what the platform can handle. Topeshop is our flagship migration project.

PrestaShop questions we hear most often.

Is PrestaShop still a good choice for 2026?

+
Yes, for mid-market stores with 1-10 million PLN in revenue and a catalog of up to 5k SKUs. Above that scale, PrestaShop starts hitting limitations that demand more and more custom development. At that point we plan a migration to Sylius (for B2B) or Shopify Plus (for D2C). PrestaShop isn't dying — it just evolves more slowly than the competition — but for its target market it remains a great choice.

How much does a PrestaShop implementation cost?

+
A standard B2C PrestaShop implementation with an off-the-shelf theme runs 40-80k PLN. Custom design with a standard catalog is 60-100k PLN. A customized B2B+B2C store (like Autotronic) runs 100-180k PLN. Migrating off PrestaShop to Sylius or Shopify starts at 100k PLN and can reach 250k PLN, depending on catalog scale and the custom logic that needs to be rebuilt.

Do you have an official PrestaShop partnership?

+
Yes, we hold an active PrestaShop partnership — one of our sixteen active operational partnerships. It gives us access to beta testing of new releases, direct technical support from the vendor, and inclusion in the official PrestaShop Agency Partners directory.

Does PrestaShop support running multiple stores from a single database?

+
Yes, PrestaShop Multistore is a built-in feature. You can run a single product and customer database with multiple storefronts for different brands or regions. Configuring Multistore requires architectural care — solutions that look fine on the whiteboard often behave badly in production. We've delivered 4 PrestaShop Multistore implementations, so we know where the pitfalls are.

Is PrestaShop secure?

+
Yes, as long as it's kept current and maintained. PrestaShop has a growing codebase, and like any open-source PHP platform it develops security vulnerabilities over time. Every PrestaShop store we run includes monthly security updates as part of the SLA, monitoring for known CVEs, and an annual OWASP audit. Stores left unpatched for 2+ years are typically unsafe — that risk is more organizational than technological.
